{May We Never Forget...}

Memorial Day...traditionally a day to remember those that have died for this country.  Those that have fought for this country.  Those that have served this country.  Somehow it has also become all about BBQ's, but I hope that none of us ever forget to think upon and pray for the people who have served, are serving, and will serve in the future.  We live in an incredible nation, and even amongst all the problems that we have....I would never want to be a citizen anywhere else.

Here are some heritage photos of my family in the military.  I know we have a more formal photo of my grandfather somewhere, but I couldn't find it today.  Maybe next year!!

My grandpa is the one on the left not looking at the camera.  Tee hee!  Thanks to my aunt Evie for the DVD slideshow that she put together of all our heritage photos.  I hope one day to have these digital images, as I had to do screen captures from the slideshow to share these on my photography blog.

I am so proud of my grandfather for having served in the military!  He is now in his 80's, and still farming after all these years.  I have the most wonderful grandparents on the face of this Earth, and for that...I am truly blessed.

Happy Memorial Day to you, yours, and more.

Until later,

{Kyle & Caitlin engaged} Montana Wedding Photographer

Hey there!  I have an engagement session to share with you today for a couple who is getting married this July!  We waited all winter long for that perfect snowy day that wasn't windy and completely gloomy...and unfortunately it just didn't happen.  So Kyle and Caitlin opted for a Spring engagement session, and we went out one of the first warm days of the season.

Kyle and Caitlin met while attending nursing school, and now consider Montana their home after having planted some roots here.  We have two hospitals in our little city, and they each work at one of them.  I asked them which hospital is better, and they both smirked and said that they both knew the answer....it is the one they work at of course!  They have quite a brood of dogs that we chatted about for awhile, whom I will get to meet at the wedding this summer.  {They figured that the engagement session would have been a bit much for having all the dogs with them.}  So they love dogs and they love the outdoors....I think they pretty much live in the best place in the world for both of those things.  Here is a look into their warm and outdoorsy engagement session!
Kyle and Caitlin are such a sweet couple, and we had a fun few hours together!  {Even hiking up the Rattlesnake in flats & carrying my camera equipment.  I am kind-of a super woman, you know.  Tee hee!}  I hope you enjoyed a little peek into their engagement session!  A look into their wedding day will be up on the blog in late July....be sure to come on back!!

Until later,
